ShippingOur normal method of shipment is via UPS Ground. Orders placed before 12 noon ET will be shipped the same day. Orders placed after 12 noon ET will be shipped the following business day. Please refer to the UPS Ground shipping zone map below. We are located in Connecticut (in the red zone, below). Orders being shipped to a destination within the red zone will arrive in 1 business day. Refer to the map for UPS Ground shipping transit times from Connecticut to other areas in the continental U.S. Some of our products are shipped from our partners' locations as noted, and transit times for these items will be different from the map. We will also ship via premium air, if requested. Please call us at 1-800-899-0959 for premium shipping prices. Bear in mind that Air shipping is often more expensive than the cost of the gift due to "dimensional" weight charges assessed by the carrier. We will happily ship on your corporate UPS account. Please have an authorized person call us with your shipper number to request this service. In order to prevent spoilage, during the summer months (June 1 through October 1) 3-Day shipping for fruit baskets and certain baskets containing chocolate is only available early in the week so that the product will not be sitting in a shipper's warehouse over a weekend. Depending upon destination, perishable baskets ordered towards the end of the week can be shipped 2-Day or Overnight, or held for 3-Day shipping the following week. UPS charges a $5.00-$10.00 address correction charge for each wrong address. This additional charge will be billed to your credit card as soon as we are assessed the charge by UPS. Addresses must also be complete, which includes any apartment or suite number, and please be accurate regarding the Street, Drive, Road, Lane, etc... Many cities and towns may have, for example, an Elm St. and an Elm Lane. If your recipient lives at 37 Elm Lane but the address you submit is 37 Elm St., then UPS will charge us an address correction fee, which we will have to pass on to you. If you are not sure of the address, please double check! If you need to return your basket please call us at 800-899-0959 for an RMA number. We cannot accept returns without this number. We will happily credit the original charge card used in payment for the retail price of the basket, less a 20% restocking fee, less shipping and handling charges. You must notify us within 7 days of receipt of your basket. Baskets must be returned in their original unopened condition. If a basket is rerouted back to us by the shipper due to an invalid or incorrect address, or a refusal of delivery by the recipient, we will credit your charge card the retail price of the basket, less the 20% restocking fee, minus all shipping fees, including wrong address fees and return fees assessed to On-A-Whim by the carrier.
Due to state health laws, we cannot accept any opened basket for credit or exchange unless the items have been damaged in transit. If you ever receive a basket damaged in shipment, please notify us immediately so that we may rectify the situation for you. You must retain all packing materials for inspection by the carrier. We will not replace items due to damage unless we are notified upon receipt of the basket and all packing materials have been retained for inspection by the carrier. Any verified damaged items will be replaced only. We will not issue credit card refunds for damaged items.
Each of our gift baskets are made fresh to order. If you need to cancel your order, you should notify us as soon as possible. If you decide to cancel your order after the basket has been created, the basket is dismantled, the wrapping, embellishments and bows are discarded and all items are returned to stock. If we have not yet created your basket, we will credit the entire cost back to your charge card. Cancellations of orders that have already been filled will result in a 20% restocking fee. We're sorry but there will be no exceptions for any reason.
